St. Bonaventure Indian Mission: Emergency Heat Appeal
Please Help Navajo Families Stay Warm This Winter!
Many impoverished families and elders here on the Eastern Navajo Reservation still live in traditional wooden hogans with dirt floors and holes in the windows and walls. Sometimes, blankets are all they have to keep warm.
But with your help, we can do so much more than just deliver blankets!
Here are just a few examples of how your gift will help our most vulnerable Navajo brothers and sisters heat their homes and survive the brutal winter temperatures.
- $25 will help provide children and elders with blankets and winter clothing.
- $100 will provide enough firewood or propane to keep a Navajo family warm for an entire month.
- $500 will be used to purchase a new wood burning stove for one Navajo family.
- Any gift you send will make a difference – possibly the difference between life or death!
