Access to clean, running water remains a significant challenge for many families across the Eastern Navajo Nation. An estimated 40% of Navajo households still lack this basic necessity, forcing families to haul water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. St. Bonaventure Indian Mission is dedicated to addressing this urgent need—one delivery at a time.

Our Water Delivery Program
For more than two decades, the Mission’s water delivery service has been a lifeline for families living in remote, isolated areas. Our team operates five days a week, year-round, delivering 14,000 gallons of clean, potable water daily—that’s more than 3.36 million gallons each year—to homes without plumbing.
Currently, we serve 200+ families within a 50-mile radius. Our water truck is filled from an onsite well and driven to some of the most inaccessible areas, reaching elders, children, and families who lack the transportation or resources to haul water on their own.
