Double your gift to rebuild navajo homes
Across the Navajo Nation, families are living in unsafe, crumbling homes, many without electricity, running water or insulation. Your gift today will be DOUBLED to help repair and rebuild homes, restoring dignity and safety one family at a time.
Navajo families on the Eastern Reservation endure some of the most challenging housing conditions in the United States. Many reside in traditional wooden hogans with dirt floors, lacking basic necessities like running water, electricity, or insulation. These homes often have holes in the walls and roofs, making them unsafe and uncomfortable, especially during harsh weather conditions.
At St. Bonaventure Indian Mission, we believe that adequate housing is fundamental to a decent quality of life. For our Navajo neighbors with limited physical and financial resources, the Mission pays for building materials and provides labor to complete home repair projects so that homes stay habitable. Projects include patching roofs, replacing doors and windows, installing wheelchair ramps, and replacing outhouses, among other necessary repairs.
Your donation today will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact and helping us break the cycle of poverty—one home at a time. Together, we can provide safe, dignified housing for Navajo families in need.
