Affordable Housing
The need for adequate, safe housing for residents of the Eastern Navajo Nation is immense. St. Bonaventure Mission is deeply committed to increasing the affordable housing options for the Dine.
The Mission is working with donors, friends and the Gillen Family Foundation to make it possible for families with children and the elderly to vacate dilapidated dwellings and move into new or used modular and mobile homes.
St. Bonaventure Mission currently maintains two mobile home parks in Thoreau comprising 119 homes. The majority of these homes are made available and affordable to low- and very low-income families.
